Khush Amdid is a community-focused organisation supported by dedicated local volunteers who are passionate about improving the lives of women and families in Tameside.
Our mission is to promote inclusion, enhance wellbeing, reduce inequalities and create meaningful opportunities for women to connect, learn and thrive.
Promoting Social Inclusion & Wellbeing
We aim to reduce social isolation and improve the emotional, physical and social wellbeing of women, with particular emphasis on older women of Pakistani heritage living in Tameside.
Through welcoming social gatherings, recreational activities, cultural events and community support networks, we encourage friendship, confidence, active participation and a stronger sense of belonging.
Alleviating Poverty, Hardship & Inequality
We are committed to supporting women and families experiencing financial difficulties, social disadvantage or personal hardship.
By providing access to practical assistance, relevant information, advice, guidance and community resources, we aim to help individuals overcome barriers and improve their everyday circumstances.
We also seek to raise awareness of available support services and empower beneficiaries to make informed decisions about their wellbeing and future.
Advancing Education, Skills & Lifelong Learning
We believe that learning has the power to transform lives, build confidence and unlock opportunities at every stage of life.
Through educational workshops, informal learning sessions, personal development activities and practical skills programmes, we encourage women to develop their abilities, share their talents and pursue new opportunities.
