Khushamdid – Fostering Wellbeing, Education, and Health for Asian Women
Khushamdid, which translates to “Welcome,” proudly operates as a registered charity with a mission to enhance the health, education, and overall wellbeing of Asian women, primarily of Pakistani origin or descent, residing in the Tameside area. Our dedicated efforts aim to uplift their quality of life and create a positive impact on their overall condition.
At Khushamdid, we offer a diverse array of engaging activities designed to cater to the needs and interests of the community. This includes a weekly elderly day center/luncheon club, featuring guest speakers, exercise sessions, outdoor activities, fun days, and organized trips. Our goal is to foster a sense of community and provide opportunities for social interaction and enjoyment.
We recognize the importance of empowerment through knowledge. As part of our commitment, we provide valuable information, advice, and guidance on various essential aspects such as benefits, housing, healthcare, and social services. Our aim is to equip individuals with the necessary tools to make informed decisions about their lives.
Additionally, Khushamdid plays a pivotal role in promoting education within the community. We organize and guide individuals towards various courses that contribute to their personal development. These courses include ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), First Aid, and Food Hygiene. By facilitating educational opportunities, we strive to empower individuals and broaden their horizons.
As a registered charity with the Charity Number 1112396, Khushamdid is dedicated to creating a positive impact on the lives of Asian women in the Tameside area. We invite you to join us in our mission to build a stronger, healthier, and more empowered community. Welcome to Khushamdid, where we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
